Please be advised that these are the Terms & Conditions for Booking and Reservation for www.corfuwalkingtours.com, hereby doing business as Corfu Walking Tours, hereinafter referred to as Corfu Walking Tours, with registered offices in Ethnikis Palaiokastritsas Gouvia, Corfu.
Notice is hereby given that all legal contracts made by and between all Parties and Corfu Walking Tours, its affiliates,agents or assigns are hereby based upon the Terms & Conditions specifically outlined and detailed herein.
Τhe Terms & Conditions for booking and reserving any product or service provided by Corfu Walking Tours its affiliates, agents or assigns (with the reservation of the chapters “CHARTERS” and “WEDDING PROPOSALS & WEDDINGS” mentioned below), contain legal obligations between the Parties, which are specifically detailed hereafter. These Terms & Conditions is the only basis on which Bookings and Reservations are accepted by Corfu Walking Tours, thereby forming the only contract by and between all Parties and Corfu Walking Tours. Therefore by using www.corfuwalkingtours.com you hereby agree to be legally bound by the Terms & Conditions stated below.
Please finally note that these Terms and Conditions are notsubject to change without Notice, written, electronic or otherwise.
All Prices are subject to change without notice, written, electronic or otherwise. Prices do not include Gratuities to Licensed Tour Guides or Licensed Drivers. Gratuities are of course subject solely to your discretion and are greatly appreciated. Please note that Prices DO NOT INCLUDE, unless otherwise stated, Entrance Fees, Transportation, Lodging or Insurance of any kind. Corfu Walking Tours has no control or discretion over Entrance Fees.
When you book a tour or service, you enter a contract with Corfu Walking Tours. The booking contract follows these steps:
a) You send a booking request. This can be done using our online forms and needs to include your full name & address & an alternative contact (telephone or email, preferably both). You are responsible that this information is correct.
b)Corfu Walking Tours confirms your booking request along with the payment terms. Our reconfirmation will be normally through email and only in exceptional cases through other media.
c)You send us the deposit described below within 7 days, unless otherwise agreed upon. Instructions about how to send the deposit will be found in the above email sent to you. If you don’t send a deposit, we reserve the right to cancel your booking without notice.
Only if steps a) – c) are completed in this order, then your booking is valid. It is at this point that a contract between Corfu Walking Tours and the Client comes into existence. The present terms and conditions only apply if a booking, as described, has been completed.
In order to book one of our Six Primary Tours (Corfu Walking Tour, Corfu Food Tour, Corfu Wine Tour, Corfu Walking and Food Tour, Corfu children’s Tour) and the Cooking Lesson, a full payment is due at time of booking.For all of our other tours and services a deposit amounting to35% is due at time of booking with the remaining balance being due in full at the twentieth first (21) day prior to the start of your booked tour or service. In case of a delay on payments, Corfu Walking Tours reserves the right to treat this as a cancellation and withdraw its confirmation of the tour or/and service. Any payment has to be made electronically according to the Terms of Payment (please see 3.02. below).
Corfu Walking Tours accepts payments via PayPal made to info@corfuwalkingtours.com, directly via Bank Transfer or by Credit Card via Master Card or Visa (please see more information in our website www.corfuwalkingtours.com). No Hidden Charges or Processing Fees apply other than those charged to you by your financial institution. Please note that all Payments are to be made in EURO. Our Bank Account information will be provided to you after yourbooking reservation has been confirmed, as necessary.
All cancellation requests must be submitted via email to info@corfuwalkingtours.com and are not considered valid until a representative of Corfu Walking Tours confirms receipt of the same in writing. The date on which the cancellation request is received by Corfu Walking Tours will determine the cancellation fees applicable. Except as otherwise stated herein, any and all tours or servicesprovided by Corfu Walking Tours shall be subject to a Cancellation Fee according to the following scale, due to the extensive work that goes into the planning of each of our tours and services and due to the fixed scheduling commitments of our guides and other service providers:
Cancellations made more than 30 calendar days before any of your tours or/ and services provided by Corfu Walking Tours hereunder shall receive a Full Refund (minus the bank commission, if any) and will be under no further payment obligation.
Cancellations made up between 30 calendar days and 48 hours before the booked Tour or Service shall be charged with a 50 % Cancellation Fee.
Cancellations made between 48 hours and 24 hours before your Tour or Service shall be charged with 70 % Cancellation Fee.
Cancellations made 24 hours or less before your Tour or Service shall be charged with a 100% Cancellation Fee.
Corfu Walking Tours reserves the right to cancel a booking until 28 days prior to the scheduled starting date of the product or/and service, for cause. In this case Corfu Walking Tours assumes no liability for fees and expenses for cancellation of flight/transportation booked by the client independently or any other fees and expenses incurred by the client whatsoever.
Cancellations initiated by Corfu Walking Tours, shall be limited to a Full Refund of Payment provided to date without penalty, fees or the like, unless the cancellation was due to an unexpected natural disaster, terrorist attack, outbreak of war. In that case, Corfu Walking Tours refunds the full amount paid by the client to date, minus possible expenses that evidentially incurred to Corfu Walking Toursin conjunction with the product or/and service and cannot get refunded. In this case Corfu Walking Tours assumes no liability for cancellation or change fees of the flight or/ and transportation booked by the client independently or any other fees and expenses incurred by the client whatsoever.
Corfu Walking Tours reserves the right to cancel at any time any and all of our Five Primary Tours (Corfu Walking Tour,Corfu Food Tour, Corfu Wine Tour, Corfu Walking and Food Tour or Corfu children’s friendly Tour) and the Cooking Lesson in the event that a minimum number of participants of 4 people is not reached at the scheduled starting time. In this case Corfu Walking Tours shall issue a Full Refund of Payment provided to date without any penalty, fees or the like. In this case Corfu Walking Toursassumes no liability for cancellation or change fees of the flight or/ and transportation booked by the client independently or any other fees and expenses incurred by the client whatsoever.
Please be advised that in order to Enter Greek Orthodox Churches or Monasteries Proper Attire is required.
Please be further advised that Shoes and Shirts must be worn at all times during all of our Tours. If you have any questions, please contact us directly for further information.
Corfu Walking Tours, its affiliates, agents or assigns does not take any responsibility for your Personal Property and hereby cannot be held responsible for Personal Property lost, stolen or left on Motor Coaches, at Restaurants, Hotels, Resorts, Archeological Sites, Museums or any other destination (the list is indicative and not exhaustive). However Corfu Walking Tours will make every possible effort and render any possible assistance with the recoveryand return of your lost Personal Property.
It is a requirement that all travelers booked a tour or/and service by Corfu Walking Tours, have valid and comprehensive travel insurance. Corfu Walking Tours cannot be held responsible for any liability, expenses or losses you incur as a result of being inadequately insured. We strongly recommend that at the time of booking a comprehensive travel insurance policy is purchased. Corfu Walking Tours reserve the right to refuse service to any travelers who cannot provide evidence of travel insurance at the beginning of their Tour or other service.
Corfu Walking Tours does not provide Insurance of any kind whatsoever.
Corfu Walking Tours strongly recommends travel insurance to cover cancellation due to unforeseen circumstances or those beyond your control and a comprehensive personal, medical travel, rescue and medical emergency treatment insurance abroad.
The guide will give you the best advice possible to make your tour as safe an enjoyable as possible both before and during the tour but you should take your own care when crossing roads and regarding the safe keeping of any goods or valuables you are carrying with you.
As a traveler the client – participant has the responsibility to select a trip appropriated to his/her interests and ability. The client – participant should make Corfu Walking Tours awareof any possible allergies or dietary restrictions before the tour by filling the appropriate form or by email and if he/shefeels unable to participate in a particular activity.
The client – participant acknowledges that the nature of the tour or any other service (such as Corfu Sailing Tours, Corfu Scuba Diving Tours, Corfu Shore Excursions) may involve a significant amount of personal risk. Such risks include injury, disease, loss or damage of property, discomfort and inconvenience.
The participant – client acknowledges that the enjoyment and excitement of the proposed form of tour is derived in part from the inherent risks incurred by travel and activity beyond the accepted safety of life at home or work, and these inherent risks contribute to such enjoyment and excitement, being a reason for the participation.
The participant – client agrees at all times during the tour and any other service provided by Corfu Walking Tours, to abide by and comply with any additional instructions given by the guide/leader and accepts that non-compliance may result in injury, death or permanent disability. Furthermore the participant – client is obliged at all times to strictly comply with the laws, customs, foreign exchange and drug regulations of the country visited. Should the participant – client fail to comply with the above, or should the participant – client interfere with the well being of the group, then the tour leader may order the participant – client to leave the tour without recourse to any refund.
In general Corfu Walking Tours’ guides reserve the right to reject any participant from a particular activity for reasons of inability or behavior endangering the safety and the welfare of him/herself or others, without this being a reason for refund.
The participant – client fully and clearly understands that he/she may be consuming alcohol during the tour and he/she accepts full responsibility for his/her behavior, well being, and health throughout the tour, which may involve a variety of activities, unfamiliar locations, and modes of travel, including but not limited to: pedestrian travel on busy streets, cobblestone streets, public taxis, public buses, wine or beer tours, bars and bus stairs, walking through unfamiliar, narrow steep corridors, gangways, stairways and driveways.
Corfu Walking Tours is not responsible for any accidents or mishaps directly or indirectly related to the Tours or any other services provided (Corfu Sailing Tours, Corfu Scuba Diving Tours, Corfu Shore Excursions etc.). Furthermore Corfu Walking Tours assumes no liability whatsoever for any personal safety (injury, death), loss of goods or valuables or property damage, directly, indirectly, consequentially or otherwise during the time that you are on the tour or that you receive any other services by Corfu Walking Tours.
The participant – client agrees to hold neither Corfu Walking Tours nor its affiliates, agents or assigns liable in any way should any harm come to him/her.
Furthermore Corfu Walking Tours acts solely as a broker regarding specific services such as Wine Tasting, Food Tour, Corfu Sailing Tours, Corfu Scuba Diving Tours, Corfu Shore Excursions, Corfu Private Mini Bus Transfers, Corfu Private taxi transfers, Corfu Car Rental, Corfu Boat Rentalbetween the client and the each time provider of the above services. Since Corfu Walking Tours has not the ability to supervise and exhaustive control these providers, assumesno liability in case of a misdemeanor, malfeasance, negligence or malperformance on their part. Corfu Walking Tours is not able to foresee or control the circumstances beyond its sphere of influence and may cause a cancelation or damages, due to a nonperformance or malperformance on the part of the provider, such as strikes, accidents, deceases, food poisoning, injury (the list is indicative only and non-exhaustive). In all these cases Στις παραπάνω περιπτώσεις, Corfu Walking Tours is not liable for the recovery of anydamages caused by third parties; however it will make everypossible effort and render any possible assistance to the client.
The client is obliged to communicate any failure in the performance of a contract which he/she perceives on the spot to the supplier of the services concerned and to Corfu Walking Tours in writing within 15 days.
Corfu Walking Tours, its affiliates, agents or assigns hereby Reserve the Right to alter, at any time and at any place, any of its Tours Itinerary provided due to Weather Conditions, Force Demure, an Act of God, Labor Stoppages,Transportation Stoppages, Public Demonstrations, SecurityConcerns and for any other cause that could not have been reasonably anticipated or controlled by Corfu Walking Tours, its affiliates, agents or assigns at the time of booking and reservation.
This clause is specifically intended to exclude liability for any of the reasons described above (the list is indicative only and non-exhaustive) that interrupt the expected course of events, that cannot have been reasonably anticipated or controlled at time of booking and reservation and prohibit Corfu Walking Tours, its affiliates, agents or assigns from fulfilling any or all of its obligations hereunder for any reason whatsoever.
In such cases, Corfu Walking Tours will make every possible effort to find appropriate, equivalent alternatives.
All our Tours will have a designated Starting Time and Meeting Point, which is exactly described in our website www.corfuwalkingtours.com with coordinates. Corfu Walking Tours, its affiliates, agents or assigns will bear no responsibility whatsoever for the failure of a Client to meet at the designated Meeting Point or/and at the designated Start Time regardless of cause or circumstance. Moreover, in the event that a Client chooses to end a Tour or discontinue use of our Services after they have commenced for any reason whatsoever no Refund shall be given and Corfu Walking Tours, its affiliates, agents or assigns bear no further liability whatsoever.
NO REFUND shall be given by Corfu Walking Tours, its affiliates, agents or assigns if a Client is a No-Show on the day of any of our Tours or any other of our Services.
All Clients are solely responsible to carry Valid Identification with them at all times and Corfu Walking Tours will not be held responsible for your failure to do so.
Corfu Walking Tours, its affiliates, agents or assigns bear no responsibility or liability, in any way whatsoever, for any delays or inconvenience associated with your Travel in conjunction with Tours or any other Services (such as Corfu Shore Excursions, Corfu Transfers and Transportation Services, Corfu Sailing Tours, Villa Rentals, Corfu Weddings Proposals) provided by Corfu Walking Tours hereunder via www.corfuwalkingtours.com.
Corfu Walking Tours, its affiliates, agents or assigns hereby bear NO RESPONSIBILITY or LIABILITY whatsoever for any disruption, delay or cancellation of any Flight, Motor Coach, Taxi, Car Service, Ferry, Passenger Cruise Ship,Yacht, Watercraft or Public Transportation Service (the list is indicative and not exhaustive), or for the effect said disruption, delay or cancellation has on your Tours or any other Services (such as Corfu Shore Excursions, Corfu Transfers and Transportation Services, Corfu Sailing Tours, Villa Rentals, Corfu Weddings Proposals) provided by Corfu Walking Tours hereunder via www.corfuwalkingtours.com.
Please be advised that Additional Specific Terms & Conditions shall apply to our Chartering Services depending on the type of Charter (Aircraft, Watercraft, Motor Vehicle, etc.), duration of said Charter and the scope of the services provided by Corfu Walking Tours, its affiliates, agents or assigns that supersede and replace the Terms & Conditions stated herein. Said Additional Specific Terms & Conditions shall be provided to the Client upon request at time of Booking and Reservation.
Those who choose to access this website do so at their own risk and on their own initiative and are responsible for compliance with all applicable local laws. These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the Greek Government Laws. Any dispute under these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Corfu (subject to appeal) and, by using this website, you hereby submit to the jurisdiction of such courts for such purposes and waive any and all objections as to jurisdiction or venue in such courts.
