A town like Corfu, with such a rich history and culture, and so vibrantly alive, offers a great many “picture-perfect” locations ideal for photographs. It is no wonder that for years now, Corfu is a favorite wedding destination. Also no wonder that it has so many talented local photographers!Walking through Corfu Town often feels like walking through a film set. Strolling through the colourful and picturesque alleyways, it isn’t hard to imagine famous actors and actresses leaning out of windows, acting out scenes of famous films! In a town where planning seems to have been the last thing they worried about, narrow streets open out onto oddly shaped plazas, in a very Mediterranean style. Small mansions with bougainvillea-framed secret gardens, give way to tall buildings, all painted in colours chosen from the Corfu “palette”. Winding stone steps lead up onto vantage points with breathtaking views. Dotted around the town, remnants of the massive old city walls, revoke images of battles long past but not forgotten, and impressive moss covered Venetian fortifications tower over the city. And everywhere the famous “Greek Light”, adored by painters and photographers around the world. Everywhere there are corners and “mini stages” for you to create your own photo stories.
