About This Tour

To paraphrase a classic saying, the quickest way to a city’s heart is through its… food! And nowhere is this more true than in Corfu. The town has been a crossroads of civilisations and cultures, each one leaving a greater or lesser mark. Food and wine are central to life on the island. Corfiot Gastronomy blends the diverse and rich flavors of its traditional Mediterranean roots with a strong Venetian influence, immediately obvious in the names of most of the dishes. And to quote Lawrence Durrel one of the local wines is akin to “volcano blood”! This is a unique opportunity to see the ingredients and savor many of these recipes brought to you by some of the best local traders and food artisans of the Corfiot cuisine. All of this combined with a small selection of local wines, chosen and introduced to you by our guide. Each food and wine tasting stop has been selected not only for its quality of food but also for its history, its people, and its significance to the local community.

Join us as we meet them and let them introduce to you, the spices and ingredients that they use to create their fine delicacies as well as the wines they are paired with. Find out about the significant details involved in every tasty recipe. Feel their passion for their island and its culinary and vinicultural heritage as they let you in on all the little secrets. Taste the local cuisine and local wines that are embodied in the Corfu Gastronomy and Wine Tasting Tour, and take away with you, your very own “Taste of Corfu” memory to cherish.
