Our meeting point will be outside the Old Fortress from where we will stroll through the narrow alleys until we reach Corfu’s open fruit & fish market. There we will handpick our fresh organic products, harvested in many cases from the fields of Corfu a few hours earlier. Also, get a chance to experience the local producers and vendors competing in loudness of voice as they inform their clients of what is available at the top of their lungs!
The smell of fresh fish and vegetables combines with the aroma of fresh herbs and fruit in a heady mix. A truly unique and colorful experience. And don’t forget to haggle… it is part of the experience too!
The next stop, at a nearby shop, is for fresh dairy products and traditional artisan bread. Supplies in hand, we will be transferred to a country home where our chef will talk us through the steps of preparing and cooking traditional Greek recipes. A welcome “treat” of local delicacies is offered upon arrival, and you can always choose if you wish to lend a hand or just watch the preparation and enjoy the lunch when ready. Whatever your choice you will be a part of it, just like being a member of our family!
